HelpCenterFilteringLogging InYou must login before using the Internet. This requirement is to deliver custom filtering profiles, and ensure that your service is up to date. Logging InYou can login to use the filter and gain Internet access two ways. 1. Launch your default web browser. If you have not already logged in to use the filter, then you will be prompted to do so when your browser attempts to load a webpage. From the prompt window, select a profile from the drop-down menu, and type the password for that profile in the space provided. Click Login (or press Enter) to login.
2. Login through the Filtering Preferences Window. Open the Filtering Preferences Window by Click on User found in the menu along the right.
If you wish to automatically login with this profile every time your computer is turned on, you may check the Save Password box. This will be in effect until you manually Logout. By default, this box will be unchecked, requiring each user to log in before being able to access the Internet. If the password is not accepted, or if an error exists with your filtering account, you may see an error message. Login ErrorsIncorrect Password If the password given for the profile is incorrect, you will receive an error that reads - Login Incorrect. Check your password and try again. Passwords are case-sensitive, so make sure your caps-lock is off and that you type your password the same way as when you created the account. Account Error / Deactivated Account If your username or password is found, but there is an error with your account, you will receive a message that reads - An error has occurred with your account. Please contact customer service immediately. You cannot use this service until the problem is corrected. Thank You. You may receive this error because your account has become past-due, or some other reason may cause the filter to be unable to authenticate your login. Logging OutIf you wish to log out, and therefore disable all Internet access until logged in again, right-click the system tray icon and click Logout. Once you're logged off, a valid username and password will be required to access the Internet again, even if the Save Password box was checked when the filter was installed. |
