Setting-up Email Accounts in a Mail Client

Manually in Outlook Express

Step 1 - Opening the Internet Accounts window

• Click on Tools from the menu bar.
• Select Accounts from the menu.

Step 2 - Internet Accounts window

Click on the Add button and then choose Mail from the list. The Internet connection wizard will now open to walk you through the rest of the process.

Step 3 - Your Name

The first item it will ask for is the Display Name. Enter Your Full Name as shown in the example above and click Next.

Step 3 - Internet Email Address

Enter your Email address as shown in the example above and click Next.

Step 4 - Email Server Names

Select POP3 as the type of incoming mail server. Enter both Incoming mail server and the Outgoing mail servers (i.e. mail.domain.com). Click Next.

Step 5 - Internet Mail Logon

Now enter your full email address as your Account name, and the password you selected for this account. Check the option to Remember Password if you do not want to be prompted for it each time you check your email. When finished click Next.

For Outlook Express 4.x users:

You will find that there are additional steps at this point.

1. One of these additional steps will ask if you would like to setup Network News Services, select No and click Next.
2. Another step will ask if you want to setup Directory Services now, select No and click Next.

You should then have an option to click Finish.

Step 6 - Congratulations

Click Finish.
