Connecting

Disconnecting from the Internet

Manually in both Windows and Mac

Windows 9x/2000/ME/XP

Once you have connected there will be a small icon beside your clock in the system tray. The icon will either be a picture of a modem with two colored lights, or a picture of 2 computers hooked together.

  • Double click on the icon described above.
  • A window will open with a disconnect button.
  • Click the Disconnect button to close your current connection.
  • Wait for a while until the dialog disappears.

Windows NT

Once you have connected there will be a small icon beside your clock in the system tray. The icon will be a picture of a telephone with a line running behind it.

  • Double click on the icon described above.
  • A window will open with a hang up button.
  • Click the Hang Up button to close your current connection.

Mac - Remote Access/PPP

Once you have connected, your Remote Access window will have disconnect button in it. Click this button to disconnect from the Internet

Mac - FreePPP

Once you have connected, your FreePPP window will have disconnect button in it. Click this button to disconnect from the Internet

Mac - ConfigPPP/MacPPP

Once you have connected, your PPP window will have a hard close and a soft close button in it. Click either button to disconnect from the Internet.
